Dawn Marie Henderson is the Assistant Director, Location Manager, and Casting Director for Murphy's Laws.  Her bio is below.

Dawn Marie started her acting career when she was just twelve years old when she did several commercials.  She then trained at Washington DC's Fillmore arts center where she studied improvisational acting and scene work, and later Shakespeare.  Dawn Marie's acting career took off with her ability to conquer Shakespeare by storm and she has won many awards for her talents as an actor.  In 1987, Dawn Marie was accepted to attend the Duke Ellington High School of Performing Arts, as a theatre major.  During her high school career, Dawn Marie studied all aspects of theatre and film, both technical and performing.  She had a staring roll in a cable TV series, which ran for two years.  She also did radio commercials and dabbled in the stand up comedy field.  In 1988, Dawn Marie's dabbling became a passion as she was one of the youngest comedians to work stand up at a local comedy club as a regular.  She was also one of the original members of WAITT (Washington Area Improvisational Teen Theatre).  Through WAITT, Dawn Marie did many short films and also won awards for her excellence in acting.  In 1989, she won an award for "most appreciated teen in DC" for her work in the community.  Despite obstacles in her life, she continued to reach out to others during this time and she also did the cable TV dance show "Dance Club 21".  In 1989, Dawn Marie did a commercial/infomercial "drugs in schools the challenge".  In 1991, she took on the toughest roll of a life time as she became a single mother.  After her daughter Kaitlin was born she took her skills to a new level and decided to teach kids.  For the past 12 years she has coached kids in improvisation and Shakespeare.  She has directed her students in several Shakespearean plays that were taken to the Folger Theatres' National Competition and Showcase, and the kids won many awards.  These days you might also find Dawn Marie at local comedy clubs doing the stand up comedy thing, as well as local theatres doing improvisation.  Dawn Marie is now working on a project with Rick Dunbar and Dunbar Productions, on the production of "Murphy's Laws" the movie.  She will assist Rick in directing the film and by working with the teenagers to help them develop their characters.  In June of 2003, Dawn Marie will accept "a service to youth" award through the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, for twenty years of dedicated service working with the areas youth.  Look for Dawn Marie's latest project Decaffeinated Comedy an improvisational theatre company that will tour local coffee shops throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia, set to be launched fall 2003!
